We Want Your Soul
Or, at least, your voice. See below for news of auditions.
In the days when Caerah enjoyed its moments of freedom, the boy would travel the deserts and wastelands surrounding the city, hunting for precious delicacies and trinkets to amuse the merchants. By such means, he fancied that he might at some later date gather enough resources to fund a trip upon the palanquins and skate-wagons pulled by the lop-eared Dromeds. His goal was to ultimately reach the city-port of Alsaid, whereupon he might encounter some of the heroes of the Imperium and then on to gain passage to the Imperial Mainland by deign of the skills that he had acquired.
His skills were all his own, for he had learned of the benefits of discovering for oneself what the world had to offer. In this respect, he was much akin to the old Alchemist Order that had once ruled here, and from whose hidden remains he regularly raided for its treasures. His was a talent that was of the desert itself, spawned by its teachings and led by its rules and philosophy. It was then, with a pinch of the bitterest desert salt with which he viewed what he became witness to as he scavenged the ancient site of the fallen Alchemist order, for it seemed that at times it still lived, offering visions of those empowered in the world... as if the Alchemists waited, biding their time and perusing the great and the good as a King's mind might well be occupied... if it were waiting, as if it too were gathering its resources and setting down new plans. Yet the boy's mind was strong and what he heard and saw only served to strengthen his resolve for what was to come.
Though the boy would often forget this place in the turmoil that followed, it would not forget him. The King still slept, committing himself to the unpicking of the many dark designs that were drawn against him and choosing his allies in the war to come.
Lead Voice Actor Required:- After due consideration, our original voice actor has left us for personal reasons. The Hammerite Imperium will be holding auditions for the part detailed above - the Lead Role. As work progresses on the missions, we will need a committed male actor with an excellent vocal and emotional range to bring to life the story of the Hammerite Imperium. Details will be provided.
Voice Acting Management:- We also need someone to take a good, strong hold of the voice acting team and give them all a sound thrashing. You must be prepared to engage with the storyline enough to offer appropriate extra lines for the dialogue in the missions. Many of the conversations are already provided, but we need to concentrate a little more closely on character. This involves periods of whip-wielding, audio support and creative ingenuity.
Other News:- Our Sound Team, and a ton of members who had birthdays recently, thoroughly deserved a damn fine party after some excellent work from Atolonen and CookieDough. The celebrations resulted in lots of embarrassing incidents involving body parts, jelly and copious quantities of alcohol. Also, a new IRC facility has been set up to make communication more effective between the team members.
